ENDOVENOUS LASER TREATMENT (EVLT) DISCHARGE
INSTRUCTIONS
Medication | Dose | Time | Instructions |
Advil or Motrin [Ibuprofen] | 400 mg. to 600 mg. | 3 times a day, with meal. | For 7 - 10 days. |
Extra Strength Tylenol | Caplet | 3 caplets, every 8 hours. | For pain, no more than 6 caplets/2 an hour, no more than 5 days. |
Levaquin | 500 mg. | One tablet, once a day. | Day before procedure, and day of procedure. |
Vitamin C (optional) | 1 gram or two 500 mg. caplets | 2 times a day |
For 10 days |
Vitamin E (optional) | 1,000 I.U. | 1 time a day | For 10 days |
Arnica (optional) | Cream | Apply on skin on inner thigh | 3 or 4 times a day for 10 days |
Arnica tablet (optional) | Tablet | Chew one tablet every hour for 8 hours first day, then one tablet four times a day. | For 14 days. |
Bromelain | 500 mg. | 1 tablet 4 times a day. | 1 hour before or after meal, for 14 days. |
